The dogs just left hearing range, you're watching the screen, one by one you loose communication. You pull out the long range antenna, un-screw one, screw in the other. You start picking up signals all over the hillside. Your pup is getting close to the road down the draw. You un-screw the long range, screw on the other, jump in the truck to go pick him up.

We offer Antenna Connectors to convert the standard SMA threaded connection to the much faster BNC connection (just like on your Yagi antenna and tracking box).

The beauty of these connectors is it opens up a whole new range of antenna options, not only to your Astro 220, but to all of you using Vertex, Yuasu, Kenwood and other 2 way radios with SMA type antenna connections.

We have had great success using a 151-155Mz Yagi antenna in hilly terrain with the Astro system. Even the Garmin long range antenna has performed well. The longest continual range we've seen here in the northeast is just over 9 miles. There's no doubt that was an oddity.

These connectors easily convert any of the Garmin Astro antenna options to a fast and simple change over, from truck to field, and back to truck. A real aggravation eliminator.
